General Osteopathic Council Member, United Kingdom (2007-present)

Laura graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Osteopathy from Oxford Brookes University (UK) in 2007. For the first 5 years after graduating Laura worked at The Wantage Osteopathic Practice and Sports Injury Clinic, within a busy team of osteopaths, and The Bampton Practice, a holistic multi-disciplinary clinic alongside an acupuncturist, nutritionist and counsellor. At the same time she ran her own weekly clinic at St Peter’s College, Oxford University where she treated the students, lecturers and administrative staff.
In 2012 Laura moved to Scotland where she worked at Carden Place Medical Centre in Aberdeen, an NHS General Practice. She worked alongside doctors, nurses, health visitors and midwives. Here she would get many referrals from the doctors and nurses who worked in the clinic.
The variety of the job and the satisfaction of making people feel better is what Laura enjoys the most; no two patients are the same, and no two treatments are the same, ensuring an individual tailor-made approach for each patient.
Laura has a particular interest in treating the ‘every-day patient’. This ranges from, the new mother who is tired and stressed with an aching mid-back from feeding all night, the office worker who spends hours in front of a screen and gets postural associated shoulder and neck pain, to the sportsman who has a chronic hamstring injury who needs regular treatment to continue the sport they love.
Laura has been a full member of the General Osteopathic Council in the United Kingdom since 2007. She is also a member of the Emirates Osteopathic Association within the UAE.
